Gwyneth Too Thin for Her BONE Good



We LOVE Gwyneth Paltrow but her stick-thin figure seems hardly healthy. In a recent visit to her doctor, Paltrow was told she has osteopenia, a decrease in bone that is most common with postmenopausal women and the precursor to osteoporosis.

After concerning bone density results her doctor decided to test Paltrow's blood and found she had the lowest level of vitamin D he had ever seen. ABC News wondered if her extreme dieting behaviors were to blame. A strict low-fat, diet coupled with regular cleansing may be harmful. We know first hand how hard it is to get the adequate proteins, vitamins and minerals for anyone let alone someone who is restricting calories.

We are concerned for Gwyneth and glad she found this out now while there's time to be proactive. For us, it always seems to come back to balance. We all need a good diet filled with healthy, nutritious foods and regular exercise. Crash or extreme diets, fasting and cleansings aren't the key to good health.
