When funny man Drew Carey and Former President Bill Clinton stepped out looking downright SKINNY last week, it got a lot of attention. The Internet went wild with rumors of everything from appetite suppressants to cabbage soup diets. As usual, the truth is a much milder version of what you may be reading.
Let's start with the man who posted the most impressive stats on the board- Drew Carey. The host of The Price is Right dropped a staggering 70-pounds and told US Weekly that he "just got sick of being fat". Apparently Carey's fiancee was a motivating factor too. Seems the actor/host/comedian is thinking a good deal about the family man he wants to be when this wedding puts a five year old stepson in his life. "My fiancee has a 5-year old, and wow, I'd love to see him graduate. I'd love to be able play with him without getting tired, enjoy my life and watch him grow." Drew apparently hit the cardio pretty hard and cleaned up his diet. He admits to keeping some red meat in the mix, but says quite plainly that he's ditched the donuts.
It was also a child that inspired another dad to drop some L-B's. Back in April, the mainstream press was getting a chuckle out of Chelsea Clinton's request to her father Bill that he drop about 15 for her wedding day. (The amount of CASH that he dropped for her wedding is a whole other story for another day)! The Presidential Papa stepped up to the challenge and lost TWENTY, but we swear it looks more like a solid 40. Some have even said Bill Clinton looks downright gaunt. Whatever your thoughts on his appearance, the big win for him is his improved health. Most reports say he turned to a mostly vegan diet to lean up and look picture perfect for the Mezvinsky wedding album.
