Skinny Scoopers love bagels but delicious dough of was one of the first things we TOSSED on our weight loss journeys. We're committed to reporting our favorite finds and today we're scooping a tasty food that tops our charts. We're talking Kim's Light Bagels.
You may remember Kim Bensen from our Author Podcast Series. We chatted with Kim back in January and welcomed her again this week to talk about her inspiring book Finally Thin and the many new exciting things she's doing to help others.
Bensen launched her Kim's Light Bagels just about two years ago. They are soft and fresh like they've come right from your own kitchen. Each dreamy round of dough is just 110 calories. They're loaded with filling fiber making them a mere 1 POINT in the Weight Watchers® world. Kim's Light Bagels come in 6 delicious flavors including Plain, Wheat, Blueberry, Cinnamon, Onion and Everything. Unlike some other low calorie bagels you don't even need to toast these to enjoy. Kim's moist delicious dough is dense and filling yet soft like bagels from an authentic bakery in New York.
Chris and I each have our favorites. Chris LOVES the Everything bagel from Kim's line, toasted and topped with Weight Watchers whipped cream cheese. Lisa is head-over-heels for Kim's onion bagels. Her favorite way to indulge is to toast one and eat it with a wedge of Creamy Swiss Laughing Cow Light. The warm toasted bagel melts the cheese combining the onion and delicate swiss flavors. SUPERB. As for the most important taste tester of all? Our kiddos seem to prefer Kim's Light Blueberry bagels. Right out of the bag or with a layer of fat-free strawberry Philly cream cheese, we feel good about them gobbling up this treat!
You can run down and grab these at one of over 1,000 stores if you're in the northeast. If you live out west like Chris and Lisa, simply visit Kim's website and her light bagels will be delivered right to your door within a week. Kim's bagels come with a half dozen per bag unlike most 5 packs of bagels we've seen. Kim's Light Bagels are also a generous helping. They'll cover a small plate and not look like a life preserver stranded on a sea of ceramic. We hope you'll give them a try. They are worth the dough any way you slice them. Enjoy!
