Monique's Journey Week 14

livestrong2I was going through some of my Fitness "Inspirational" gear and I stumbled across THIS Bracelet.  I have MANY that I've worn over the years.  This one, I will share with a friend.  This week, I have been "LIVING STRONG" I started the FUN (In a sick and twisted way) #3000in30.  This is 3000 push ups in 30 days.  One of my Twitter friends from Australia asked me if I was "Up for it"  I figured, what the heck!!  I will give it the old "College Try" LOL!!! I am up to 500 and I am having a BLAST and feeling STRONGER than EVER!!!!  Don't you worry, my dear readers... I can NOT fail at this!!! Do I think I will get in all 3000?!? Highly unlikely... Will I have "Failed" if I finish at 2300?!? NO WAY!!!!  I PARTICIPATED, I gave my ALL (I ALWAYS DO), Therefore, I've SUCCEEDED!!I will let you know how it turns out!!  ;-) I focused on STRENGTH this week.  I LOVE the Jackie Warner circuit type workouts!!  her DVD is KILLER!!!  If you are looking to INCREASE YOUR INTENSITY, try this DVD!!  She has a new show on the Bravo network that premiered this week.  "THINTERVENTION"  is going to be a hit!!  It comes on a little late BUT its worth it!!  Check your local listings!!  WATCH and GET INSPIRED!!!

My weigh-in:  255 (Another 2 down) YES!!!

Kimmie and I were discussing all the "compliments" we've been getting lately!!  We STILL don't SEE it Or FEEL the changes BUT we KNOW we are DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!!!  So we are going to KEEP ON MOVING!!!!!  Thank YOU for READING, COMMENTING, and SUPPORTING!!!!  It means SO MUCH TO US!!!!!

Kimmie Week 14

WOW, I cannot believe how quickly these weeks are flying by!  It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we were starting this journey and here we are already more than  halfway through!  

I don't have much to report this week, it was sort of a blah week for me.  I do not have a gain to report or a loss to report.  I stayed exactly the same.  If nothing else I realized just how focused and aware I need to be of my workouts.   This is just a random thought, but one that I know ensures my success on this journey - PLANNING!! Do you plan your meals?  Your workouts?  While sliding into the ripe age of 35 at the end of August my friend and I committed ourselves to 31 days of exercise in August.  Towards the end of the month I was getting wore out, but I realized that it kept me going.  On days when I didn't want to go, I knew that somebody else was counting on me and I also didn't want to fail myself!  I came off that high and then September hit.  September hit with a holiday weekend and I didn't have a goal.  I need a goal.  Planning also carries over into my meal plannign as well.  If I don't write it down on a piece of paper I am less likely to stay on track.  I try to think of all my "non normal" activies for the week and plan my eating around those activities.

All and all even though I didn't lose this week it was a pretty good week.  I no longer beat myself up over non perfect weeks.

I haven't said it in awhile, but thank you so much for following Mo and myself on this journey!!!

Monique, 2 lbs down, excellent! Kim, I really had the same experience as I was losing weight, everyone does, trust me :). Go with how those clothes feel, when they feel more loose, the inches are going down (feels great right?!) Monique, 2 lbs down, excellent! I agree with Mr. Cory Jones, the bodybugg is the best weight managment tool ever and dont' forget to use the very informitive, based on measurment tool that it updates after each weigh-in.

I am so proud of both of you. Monique, you continue to shed weight each week and I'm sure your positive attitude is playing a major role in your transformation. Kimmie, I know you didn't lose any weight this week, but know that as you work out and eat right you will continue to shed inches. It is just as important as the weight loss. I can't wait to see the after pics. I know you beautiful women will have the outcome you desire.

I like to look at an average over a few weeks. I also look at how my clothes fit, inch loss is fun to track if you have someone you can trust. Keep up the good work Ladies!

I am proud of you both!!! I love to read the real and true experiences you both have. The scale doesn't tell us everything; Lean Body Mass (LBM or muscle) sometimes will throw that scale off so for sure watch the measurements! Great Job, goooo bugg!!!
